Jamescita Peshlakai, a Gulf War veteran, served in the state House from 2013 to 2015 and the Senate from 2017 until she resigned in 2021 to become a Native American liaison at the U.S. Department of the Interior. She rose to minority whip in 2019. After five of her bills to rename State Route 264 the Hopi Code Talkers Highway died, she had the highway renamed administratively instead.

Lloyd Johnson works at Petrified Forest National Park and ran for the Legislative District 6 House in 2024, finishing fourth of four. He was unopposed in this year's Republican Senate primary. Born and raised in Washington state, he moved to Arizona in 2011. In a Clean Elections voter guide statement he called for trade schools in rural areas and small business development, and described himself as pro-life and pro-Second Amendment.

Mae Peshlakai was first elected to the House in 2022, reelected in 2024 and led this year's primary, ahead of her sister Angela Maloney. An artist and silversmith who has taught weaving at several universities, she says she secured $3 million in the state budget for a dialysis center at Sage Memorial Hospital in Ganado, and she co-sponsored Emily's Law, creating a statewide alert system for missing Indigenous children. At the Clean Elections debate she pressed for safer roads.

Ian Teller is a development officer at Diné College who finished second in the Democratic primary. He was 25 during the campaign and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's in music industry. He declined the Citizens Clean Elections Commission's invitation to debate. He says he would prioritize education, the environment, affordability and housing, calling housing the most important of the four.

Brendan Trachsel
Green · House
Brendan Trachsel is a Flagstaff organizer with two degrees from Northern Arizona University who says he led the coalition organizing that got the City of Flagstaff to cancel its Flock Safety surveillance contract in December 2025. The Arizona Green Party is actively backing him, in contrast to two statewide Green nominees it has disavowed as fraudulent. His platform centers on labor, education, the environment, privacy and election changes including ranked-choice voting and a ban on mass surveillance.
