Mae Peshlakai was first elected to the House in 2022, reelected in 2024 and led this year's primary, ahead of her sister Angela Maloney. An artist and silversmith who has taught weaving at several universities, she says she secured $3 million in the state budget for a dialysis center at Sage Memorial Hospital in Ganado, and she co-sponsored Emily's Law, creating a statewide alert system for missing Indigenous children. At the Clean Elections debate she pressed for safer roads.
