Katie Hobbs
Democrat · Governor
Katie Hobbs holds the record for most vetoes by any governor in Arizona history — by a lot. She has been governor of Arizona since January 2023, after winning the 2022 race against Republican Kari Lake. She served as secretary of state from 2019 to 2023 and spent eight years in the Legislature, including four as Senate minority leader. A social worker by training, Hobbs has declined to debate Biggs this fall.

Andy Biggs
Republican · Governor
Andy Biggs has represented Arizona's 5th Congressional District in the U.S. House since 2017, and chaired the House Freedom Caucus from 2019 to 2022. Before Congress, the attorney spent eight years in the Arizona House and six in the state Senate, where he served as Senate president. He defeated David Schweikert and two other Republicans in the July 21 primary.

No Labels · Governor
Completed the Agenda's candidate questionnaire
Teri Hourihan, a licensed professional counselor, owns a behavioral health company. She won the No Labels Party's gubernatorial primary in July, beating party-backed entrepreneur Hugh Lytle by 12 points. Hourihan entered politics after Arizona's Medicaid program placed her company on its suspension list in 2023, and built her campaign on social media accusations of state corruption.

Risa Lombardo
Green · Governor
Risa Lombardo, the Green Party's nominee for governor, faces civil and criminal investigations over allegations her campaign falsified the $5 qualifying contributions that unlocked $2.8 million in public funding. Lombardo sued the Clean Elections Commission to block a repayment order, and a judge dismissed the suit on September 30. Her Clean Elections biography describes a career as a legal secretary.
