Democrat · Senate · LD14

Stephanie Walsh is a mechanical engineer who founded Walsh Engineering Services in Idaho Falls, grew it past 100 employees and sold it, retiring early. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Idaho in 1989 and leads two Idaho energy groups, the Idaho Sustainability and Energy Coalition and the Idaho Geothermal Action Consortium. She has not held public office. She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, and says she entered the race because no other Democrat had.
