Beverly Pingerelli, a science program coordinator at Grand Canyon University, has served in the House since 2021 after eight years on the Peoria Unified School District board. She sponsors a handful of bills a year, mostly on education: Gov. Katie Hobbs signed her 2025 law requiring schools to limit cellphone use, and Gov. Doug Ducey signed her 2022 law opening school library checkout records to parents. She topped the July 21 Republican primary, ahead of her seatmate Livingston.
