Barbara Fike is a retired public school teacher who still teaches part time at Glendale Community College. This is her second run for the seat: she lost in 2024, then led the July 21 Democratic primary. She worked on the petition drive for the voucher-accountability measure that fell short of the ballot, and she said she would vote against Proposition 320. She appeared at the September 18 debate; both Republican incumbents did not.
